The supporters of sitting MLA Varthur Prakash have allegedly obstructed JD(S) candidate K Srinivas Gowda’s publicity work, here on Friday.
The police had to visit the spot to clear the ambience.
Campaigning
Sources said that Gowda was visiting houses in Kurubarapet to seek votes. Supporters of Varthur entered the scene and started shouting slogans in favor of their leader.
This resulted in creating a clash between two groups. Police had to enhance the security to avoid untoward incidents. City CPI Jagadish, Sub-inspector Devendrappa were present on the occasion.
