The projects are Talaguppa - Honnavar (83 km); Shimoga - Harihar (84 km); Kuduchi - Bagalkot (142 km); White Field - Kolar (52 km); Gadag - Haveri (84 km); Tumkur - Davangere (210 km).
In his letter to the Union minister, Yeddyurappa said the government would share 50 per cent of the expenditure on projects to be sanctioned and land required would be allocated free of cost.
The State would spend Rs 2,529.8 crore towards the railway projects in next five years.
