Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the list of Congress candidates for the upcoming Assembly polls would be published during the last week of January 2018.
Speaking before inaugurating development projects in Madhugiri, in Tumakuru district on Sunday, the CM told reporters that he was not concerned with when other parties announce their list of candidates.
"The list of Congress candidates is more in number. So there will be a minor delay."
Siddaramaiah said that KPCC President Dr G Parameshwara would host the party convention, while he as the Chief Minister, would participate in development-related programs on behalf of the government.
He said that BJP's Parivathana Yatre had failed completely, despite BJP leaders' claims to the contrary.
