Dattamala Abhiyana: Muthalik, others get bail

Seeking bail in a case related to preventing police personnel from discharging their duties during Dattamala Abhiyana at Datta Peeta in 2016, Sri Rama Sene Chief Pramod Muthalik and three others appeared before the First Additional Senior Civil JMFC Court here on Wednesday.

Along with Muthalik, Sri Rama Sene state president Mahesh Kumar Kattimani, Udupi district president Mohan Bhat and Durga Sene district president Sharadamma appeared before the court. The court granted bail to all the four. They were asked to appear before the court on October 26.

Speaking to reporters, Muthalik said that the police had filed a case against them for staging a protest for not allowing seers inside the sanctum sanctorum of Datta Peeta.
