Dr N Shivakumar is said to have demanded a bribe of Rs 1,200 from Sharat, who had brought his friend Saddam to treat a fracture. The patient was brought from Janammanahalli in Jagalur taluk. Sharath had lodged a complaint to the Lokayukta.
A Lokayukta team, led by Superintendent of Police Nadaf, raided the house of the doctor while he was accepting bribe.
