The supporters and the family members of K T Naveen Kumar, the suspect in the murder case of journalist of Gauri Lankesh, allegedly assaulted TV journalists, near his house in Kadaluru village in the taluk on Saturday night.
The murder case investigation team has arrested Naveen Kumar two days back and thus, the journalist and the cameraman of a private television channel visited Naveen Kumar's house in Kadaluru, for news coverage. When the journalists visited the house, Naveen Kumar's mother collapsed and thus, the relatives and others attacked and assaulted them. However, the police, who rushed to the spot, controlled the crowd.
While the journalists registered a complaint, the family members of Naveen Kumar also have filed a counter complaint against the journalists.
