 Janata Dal (Secular) State President Kumaraswamy said that four-five JD(S) MLAs, who are fence sitters, would have to face disciplinary  ction.

“On Saturday, our party MLA N Cheluvarayaswamy was at the meeting held by Minister D K Shivakumar. If this is the way the MLAs are going to challenge the party, then we would be forced to take action,” he said. Asked what action would be taken, he said: “That has to be decided by the party president.”

‘No positive response’

Sources in the government said that even if a political party expels its MLAs, they would not lose their Assembly membership.
