Janata Dal (Secular) State President Kumaraswamy said that four-five JD(S) MLAs, who are fence sitters, would have to face disciplinary ction.
“On Saturday, our party MLA N Cheluvarayaswamy was at the meeting held by Minister D K Shivakumar. If this is the way the MLAs are going to challenge the party, then we would be forced to take action,” he said. Asked what action would be taken, he said: “That has to be decided by the party president.”
‘No positive response’
To a question, Kumaraswamy said that he tried to convince the Congress at Delhi as to why it should work in tandem with the JD(S) but there was no positive response.
Sources in the government said that even if a political party expels its MLAs, they would not lose their Assembly membership.
