IndiGo to launch direct flights to Chennai, H'bad

IndiGo, India’s largest and fastest growing carrier, has announced its foray into regional markets.

The airline will begin ATR operations with flights between cities on its existing network of Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Madurai and Nagpur and two new Tier-II cities of Tirupati and Rajahmundry.

With an aim to enhance connectivity to these cities, the airline will deploy its ATR fleet of ATR 72-600 aircraft in a phased manner.

IndiGo has also launched introductory fares starting Rs 999 on these new routes, while bookings have opened on midnight of October 16. First ATR flight will commence from Hyderabad, starting December 21.

IndiGo is also introducing new ATR flights on its existing network which includes Chennai - Mangaluru - Chennai, Hyderabad - Mangaluru - Hyderabad and Hyderabad - Nagpur - Hyderabad. While Flight Number 6E 7101 will leave Hyderabad at 6.40 am to reach Mangaluru at 8.40 am, Flight Number 6E 7102 will leave Mangaluru at 1.50 pm to reach Hyderabad at 3.40 pm.

Flight Number 6E 7101 will leave Mangaluru at 9.05 am to reach Chennai at 11.05 am, Filght Number 7102 will leave Chennai at 11.35 am to reach Mangaluru at 1.30 pm.
