Kadur gets Rs 5.11 cr to develop 13 backward villages

The government has sanctioned Rs 5.11 crore for the development of 13 backward villages in Kadur taluk under Suvarna Grama scheme, said MLA Dr Y C Vishwanath.

He was speaking after inaugurating various developmental work under Suvarna Grama scheme and Rajyotsava programmes organised by Ekadantha Yuvaka Sangha at Veerabhadreshwara-Anjaneya swami temple premises in Kadur taluk on Wednesday.

Briefing about the developmental work in the taluk, he said that concrete road construction
work at a cost of Rs 33 lakh has been taken up and priority is given to drinking water supply under Suvarna Grama scheme in order to improve the basic facilities in Chatnalli village.

“A sum of Rs 5.11 crore has been sanctioned for the development of 13 villages including Somanahalli, K Bidare, Balliganur, Thangali, Chikkanallur, Jiganehalli, H Thimmapura, Annegere, Pattanagere, Kalkere and Maravanji,” said the MLA.

Addressing the gathering at Rajyotsava programme, he said the literature will see the growth only if people develop love towards the language.

After felicitating young litterateur from K Bidare village, Savitha, he asked the youth to involve in literary activities.
