Lokayukta sleuths today nabbed a jailor in Mangalore jail for accepting a bribe of Rs 1,000 from a person to allow his ailing friend who was in judicial custoday to be medically examined.
The jailor Thippa Naik was arrested while accepting a bribe of Rs 1,000 from the complainant Pramod Alva for allowing his (Pramod's) friend who was in judicial custody in
connection with a case and was suffering from an ailment, to be medically examined, Lokayukta sources told PTI.
