Meteorologist Officer at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) Ronald J Vaz received the 'Best performing aviation meteorological office at airport award' for the year 2017-18 from the Ministry of Earth Sciences secretary M Rajeevan. The award was given away during the 143rd foundation day of Indian Met Department at New Delhi. Incidentally, Mangaluru International Airport is the only airport in India to receive this prestigious award this year.
