Raibagh MLA Duryodhan Aihole, 55, suffered fractures in the rib cage after he slipped on the stairs and fell down, while coming out of the bathroom in the first floor of his house on Chinchali Road in Raibagh town on Tuesday.
Family members and neighbours rushed him to a private hospital. After primary treatment, he was shifted to the KLES Hospital for further treatment and he is recovering.
Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, Member of Parliament Suresh Angadi, Agriculture and district incharge Minister Umesh Katti, MLAs Abhay Patil, Sanjay Patil and others visited the legislator at the hospital.
Shettar told reporters that Aihole was responding well to the treatment and was out of danger.
Dr Vinay Maishale, who is treating Aihole, said the legislator had suffered fractures on the ribs on both sides and his condition was stable.
