Model code of conduct still in force

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (OCEO) has stated that no official connected with the conduct of the elections can be transferred till the entire election process has been completed.

In a press release issued here on Thursday, Anil Kumar Jha, Chief Election Officer, reiterated that the Election Commission of India has relaxed the model code of conduct in Karnataka as polling has been completed.

No review meetings

However, no review meetings can be held by any minister or any other political functionaries with election-related officials, Jha stated.

The Commission had decided that all normal administrative work and developmental activities of the State government can be taken up.
