A moving car suddenly burst into flames on Sunday afternoon near Malebennur in Davanagere district. The entire automobile was burnt to a cinder in the incident, but none of the occupants was hurt.
Police said, Davanagere MCC block residents Siddaraju and his family were on their way to attend a family ceremony when the car caught fire while in motion.
The passengers in the vehicle detected smoke coming out of the back of their Renault Kwid when they were alerted at first by the other road users.
The six passengers in the car jumped out as the automobile burst into flames burning everything in the car.
Luckily, none of the passengers were hurt in the incident. There were two small children and two women among the passengers.
