NEET must for AYUSH: KEA clarifies

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued a note to assure students that admission to AYUSH courses will be through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

"Ministry of AYUSH, in its letter dated February 12, has notified admission to Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani and Homoeopathy courses. Candidates must compulsorily qualify in the NEET - 2018 exam conducted by the CBSE Board, New Delhi, on May 6," the note reads.

Allotment of seats to AYUSH courses will be done on the basis of the candidate's eligibility in NEET, CET Admission Rules and Government Orders.

Candidates should register and appear for NEET - 2018 to get eligibility for admission to AYUSH courses.
