Noopura Academy of Performing Arts in association with Katrumane Parvatamma Madla Channappa Gowda Trust and the Department of Kannada and Culture, will organise Noopura Nrityotsava on January 6 and 7, said academy dance director Jyothi Prakash.
Addressing reporters here on Monday she said that the programme will be inaugurated by Mysuru University Fine Arts department professor K Kumar at 5.30 pm. Trust chairman M C Prakash will preside. Additional deputy commissioner M L Vaishali, coffee grower Halase Shivanna, Kannada and Culture department assistant director C Ramesh will take part.
Natya Kala Nivas director H R Unnat and troupe will perform Bharatanatyam on the occasion.
The valedictory programme will be held on January 7 at 5.30 pm. Pediatrician Dr J P Krishnegowda will deliver the valedictory address. Youth Empowerment and Sports department assistant director Majula Hullalli will be present. Jyothi Prakash and team from Noopura Academy of Performing Arts will perform Bharatanatyam.
