BJP state general secretary and former minister Aravind Limbavali said that over one lakh people are expected to attend the programme, scheduled to be held on Maharaja's College Grounds, here, on February 19, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the gathering.

After performing the groundbreaking puja, to the works on the pandal to be erected for the event, here, on Tuesday, Limbavali said that the PM will take part in the launch of various progressive and development works and will address the people.

"The convention on the Maharaja's College Grounds will be organised by the BJP and party workers from neighbouring districts will also participate," he said.

He said that the PM will flag-off the trains on the electrified double track between Mysuru and Bengaluru and also the Mysuru-Rajasthan Hamsafar Express train. "Besides inaugurating the new building of the ESI Hospital, he will also lay the foundation stone for the works on the eight-lane Mysuru-Bengaluru highway road," he said.

MP Pratap Simha, district presidents M Shivanna and Dr B H Manjunath, former minister S A Ramdas, Corporator H S Nadeesh Preetham and madhyam pramukh Prabhakar Sindhia were present.
