Election officials on duty intercepted a car in which Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy was travelling, at a check post on National Highway 75, on Wednesday. The escort vehicles of his convoy were also intercepted and inspected.

The chief minister was travelling to Shivamogga from Bengaluru, via Hirisave. The poll officials at the check post at the Hassan border stopped the vehicles around 9 am and inspected them. Kumaraswamy, who was in the car, told them, “Check the vehicles properly. Take pictures and video and send it to the higher officials of the Election Commission.” The other vehicles, which were a part of his convoy, were also inspected.

The officials also checked the car of JD(S)-Congress coalition candidate Prajwal Revanna, who was on his way to Hassan from Bengaluru, on the same route.
