Prabhudeva begins New Year with schoolkids

Actor and dancer Prabhudeva celebrated New Year’s day with schoolchildren in Doora village in the district. In the 30-minute visit with his mother Mahadevamma and his two children, the actor distributed ‘Mysore Pak’ to students of Mahadeshwara Educational Institutions, a convent in the village.

He spent time with the schoolchildren and reminisced his childhood days. He also said that the village still remained his “favourite place.” Prior to visiting the school, he paid obeisance at the Mahadeshwara and Ganapathi temples. Prabhudeva’s mother Mahadevamma hails from Doora, located 17 km from Mysore, while his father Sundar is from Mugur near T Narasipur.

Popularly known as Mugur Sundar (Sundaram), he is a renowned film choreographer who has multilingual films of yore to his credit. The actor, who has developed a farm at his mother’s native place, often visits the village. He had last visited it two years ago when his grandfather had expired.
