Sripadaraja’s  name is reckoned with much awe and respect for his immense contribution of dasa literature to the Kannada. In fact, he was the first person to translate the Sanskrit Devaranamas into Kannada and made the sanskrit devotional songs much simpler to common man.

The aradhana mahotsav of Sripadaraja will be held in the Mulbagal town. Apart from a State-level seminar, a religious and cultural programmes have been lined up to mark the event.

History has it that he lived in Narasimhatheertha, on the outskirts of Mulbagal town. Narasimhatheertha is adjacent to National Highway 4.

Although Kannada literature was rich with the works of stalwarts like Pampa, Ranna, Janna and others, their works were not accessible to common man. However, the revolution by Sripadaraja in simplifying these sanskrit works to enable the common man to enjoy them is worth noting.

His works have led a different genre - dasa literature. The Pushkarni in Narasimhatheertha is known to have curative values, hence devotees from various parts of the country visit here.
