Three held for peddling cannabis

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of the City police has arrested three men, including a Nepali national , in Kumarakrupa West for peddling cannabis. More than three kg of the contraband, said to be worth about Rs 15 lakh, has been seized from the suspects.

Gaurav Surana, 23, a resident of Vasanthnagar, Ameen, 34, of Wilson Garden, and Ujar Bahaddur Gharthi, 34, from Nepal, are the arrested. The CCB police said the arrests were made near a house on RV Main Road in RV Extension, following a tip-off.

Police said Gharthi waited on tables at a restaurant in Delhi. Surana and Ameen got in touch with him a few months ago and allegedly asked him if he could supply them cannabis.
Gharthi then reportedly obtained the contraband from one of his acquaintances in Delhi and supplied them to the two suspects who made small balls of it to be sold to college students, software professionals and at high-profile parties at higher prices, police said.
