Two more dengue deaths

 Chandana Honnannavar, of Ambedkar Colony in Hubli died at a private hospital on Thursday morning. She was not well since last Sunday, and was being treated for typhoid. Chandana was admitted to a private hospital on Wednesday, and was unconscious since Wednesday evening.

“Doctors said that she had dengue fever, after testing her blood for the third time. My daughter could have been saved, if symptoms of the disease were identified earlier,” said Chandrashekhar Honnannavar, father of Chandana.

Chandana was a fourth standard student at M R Sakhare English Medium School here, and holiday was announced for the school on Thursday.

In Dharwad, a 6-month-old girl child died on Wednesday night reportedly due to dengue fever. Her parents are residents of Haveripeth in Dharwad, and the girl was admitted to a private hospital for two days.
