With India facing incursion attempts at its borders, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said on Monday that the government will not leave any stone unturned in safeguarding the country.

While reviewing the functioning of the Border Security Force (BSF), he said security is the first and foremost requirement for development and for this, borders should always be safe and secure.

“The government will leave no stone unturned to safeguard our borders and address all important issues related to border security,” he told top BSF officers.

He said the Home Ministry has already kick-started the process to sort out all issues of functional requirements of the paramilitary forces guarding the border. He was briefed about the BSF functioning by its Director-General D K Pathak and other senior officers.

In recent months, India has witnessed incursion attempts at borders with both Pakistan and China.
