A retired Indian Forest Services (IFS) officer Vijay Bahadur, who was an observer for two recruitment tests in the Vyapam scam was found dead on a railway track in Odisha, reports Hindustan Times.
Bahadur was travelling to Bhopal from Puri with his wife Nita Singh by the Puri-Jodhpur Express. The Hindustan times quoted a Railway police official saying prima facie Bahadur’s death was likely due to a fall from the moving train. The officials are investigating the case and waiting for postmortem report.

The scam involves the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board or Vyapam, which conducts exams for selecting medical officers, constables, teachers and auditors for government departments, besides admission to professional colleges. The candidates reportedly paid officials and middlemen to make it to the list.
