A woman passenger, travelling from Patna to New Delhi by Shramjeevi Express, complained directly to Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu when she saw that the berth she was allotted was “captured” by a group of students who were travelling up to Lucknow.

These students, none of them bonafide passengers, were travelling by Shramjeevi Express to Uttar Pradesh to appear in the Staff Selection Commission examination (SSC), slated for Sunday.

But having boarded the reserved compartment and forcefully occupied the berths allotted to bonafide passengers, the students crossed the limit of all decency when they started harassing the young woman passenger.

Undaunted, the woman tweeted to Suresh Prabhu, complaining to the minister how not only her berth had been forcibly occupied by the SSC examinees, but also she was being harassed by the lecherous lot. No sooner she tweeted to the Railway minister, the security personnel from Railway Protection Force and Government Railway Police were asked by the top railway mandarins to rush to help the aggrieved woman.
