Abrar Kazi and Aditya Sagar’s unbeaten 131-run partnership for the eighth wicket helped Karnataka ‘A’ draw with Punjab ‘A’ in the C K Nayudu Trophy Elite Group ‘A’ match at the Chinnaswamy stadium on Tuesday.
Abrar (66 n.o., 164b, 9x4) and Aditya (58 n.o., 137b, 9x4, 3x6) came together with the hosts struggling at 207/7 and staring at innings defeat. However, the left-right combination mixed aggression with caution and kept the Punjab bowlers at bay for 48.2 overs to force a draw. Abrar had top-scored for the hosts in the first innings too with a fine 72. Karnataka ‘A’, resuming at 106/1, were 338/7 when play was called off after five mandatory overs.
