Australia elects to bat against India

Australian skipper Michael Clarke won the toss and elected to bat in the second Test against India on Saturday.

India has retained the side that won the opening Test by eight wickets in Chennai.

For Australia, all-rounder Glenn Maxwell will make his debut, replacing medium-pacer Mitchell Starc. Xavier Doherty has taken the place of Nathan Lyon as the side’s specialist spinner.

Teams: India: MS. Dhoni (c&wk), Virender Sehwag, Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, R. Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma.
