Australian wicket-keeper batsman Brad Haddin on Wednesday said that dominating Indian spinners has contributed to their success in the on-going ODI series against India.
“I think it hasn't been a conscious (decision), at first. It's just the way the game's panned out. I think with the way the field restrictions are at the moment, it allows free scoring during the middle of the game and with the power plays leading into the back end of the game. I think that's been a big reason why the spinners have gone for more runs than they normally would've. But yes, it did played a part,” said Haddin.
Haddin also emphasised on the fact that the Indian conditions were no longer unfamiliar to Australian players, paving way for their impressive show in this part of the world, particularly in the limited-overs versions.
