 President’s XI triumphed by virtue of first innings lead against Mysore Zone in the under-19 KSCA inter-zonal tournament here on Wednesday.

Resuming the day on 150/5, with a first innings lead already in the bag, Presidents went on to score 234 all out. In an average batting performance, Rishi Bopanna top scored with 39 while BM Shreyas made 25.

 Nandan Narayan (3/52) and Utham Aiyappa (3/39) shone for Mysore but they needed a dramatic turnaround to get a favourable result.

Ruchir Joshi, who was impressive in the first innings returning with figures of 3/24, continued to shine as he pegged Mysore back in their second innings as well. Mysore were left reeling at 85/4, thereby allowing Presidents to clinch the trophy with ease.
