Irate punters from the grand stand in the first enclosure started hurling furniture from the stand on to the ground and targeted some closed circuit sets in the besides hurling stones and empty bottles on to the paddock.
The stewards of the Hyderabad Race Club held an enquiry into the running of the race and after thorough deliberation decided to keep the placings unchanged and suspended jockey Ch K Chary who was astride Jaanbaaz and jockey Ajoy Gaikwad who was riding Danzsingh, for causing severe interference to the favourite Vijaysiddanth.
Soon after the start of the race, Danzsingh tumbled and hit Vijaysiddanth which caused the jockey PS Chauhan to fall down. The race was won by Silver Rose.
