When contacted P M Narendraswamy said: “There is no question of us returning back to the BJP. We are firm on our stand. We will talk to the media after the court judgement.”

But rumours flew thick and fast that they are willing for a patch up and ready to re-join the Government if given a chance. While sources close to the independents claimed that the BJP is in touch with them, the BJP did not say anything contrary to this though it insisted that it is better not to discuss the issue as the matter is pending before the court.

A disqualified MLA, who did not like to be named, said that none of the five disqualified MLAs had any issues with the Chief Minister.

But they had ‘problems’ with others including the Reddys, who are around him.

The MLAs are confident that they would get ‘justice’ in the court. The Government, which has a wafer-thin majority, is badly need of the support of more MLAs to gain the much-needed stability.

Chief Minsiter Yeddyurappa and State Party President K S Eshwarappa have already said that they are not saying no to Operation Lotus to stabilise the party and the Government.
