No more land for Special Economic Zone, says MP

Fresh survey will be conducted in Permude in Mangalore

Addressing the reporters after hearing grievances from people at Pravasi Mandir in Belthangady on Monday, he said that after having given 1,800 acre of land for the proposed Mangalore SEZ, not even an of  inch land will be given for the project in uture.”

“Survey works will be held in Permude region from Tuesday onwards and no more land will be given for SEZ further. SEZ officials have failed to keep up their promises. They have not built the rehabilitation colony according to the plan and no local youth have been given employment,” he alleged.

He said that he would visit one Assembly constituency every day in Dakshina Kannada constituency, visit the party office and government offices in the morning and then visit to GPs to review the progress in the afternoons. He further said that he will take the officials along with him when he visits the Gramas (villages) within 3 months.

Establishment of a railway station at Yedamangala in Sullia and upgradation of Thokottu, Kankanady and Bajal railway crossing will be done.
