On the concluding day of the under-19 showdown at the RSI grounds, the hosts trooped out winners by an innings and 182 runs after opening up a 335-run lead on the first innings and bowling out Haryana for just 153 in their second knock.

Overnight 369 for three in reply to Haryana’s 200, Karnataka kicked on to post a massive 535 for five declared. Nair, overnight 77, went on to make 108 (307m, 206b, 14x4), while there were half-centuries from Shreyas Gopal and Dinesh Borwankar as Haryana merely went through the motions.

Armed with a massive advantage, Karnataka came hard at their opponents with More breathing fire.  The right-arm quick finished with five for 33 from 13.4 overs, while Gopal finished with impressive numbers of three for nine from seven overs, Haryana capitulating in 58.4 overs for 153.
