Sagar overcomes Kashyap for title

In the final, Sagar kept a fighting A Kashyap at bay to eke out a hard-fought 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 victory.

There was further disappointment in store for Kashyap as he went down 1-6, 5-7 to Anthony Savio in the under-16 final.

However, Kashyap had a consolation win on the day as he teamed up with Anthony to clinch the under-18 doubles title. The duo eased past G Rohan and Raghavendra 6-2, 6-2.
While it was a day of mixed fortunes for Kashyap, Ann Christine Nilson enjoyed a perfect day in the office, pocketing two titles in convincing fashion.

Taking the court for the under-16 singles final, Ann just about did everything right in scoring a convincing 6-2, 6-4 victory over A Shameena.

The teenager then teamed up with Vidya Bharath to trounce the pair of Gopika Madhu and M Shivani 6-4, 6-3 for the doubles under-18 crown.

Boys: Under-18, singles: Sagar Manjanna bt A Kashyap 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.

Doubles: A Kashyap/ Anthony Savio bt G Rohan/ Raghavendra 6-2, 6-2.  

Under-16: Anthony Savio bt A Kashyap 6-1, 7-5.

Girls: Under-18, Doubles: Ann Christine Nilson/ Vidya Bharath bt Gopika Madhu/ M Shivani 6-4, 6-3.

Under-16: Ann Christine Nilson bt A Shameema 6-2, 6-4.
