Doctor attacked over faulty circumcision

Reason behind the anger was that the kids were infected and were crying in pain, after the doctor carried out the minor surgery on the boys.

Tausif Sharif, 11 years, son of Asif Sharif, Shanthinagar, Mahaj Sharif, who is barely two-years-old, son of Aleem Sharif, Shanthinagar, Malik Khan, nine, son of Mehboob Khan, Azeez Sait Nagar and Syed Suhail, three, son of Mohammed Mallik are those children.

Tausif Sharif had undergone the ritual which was carried out by a doctor by name Zakir Husain at Madina Clinic in Rajivnagar, five years ago. However, after sometime, he experienced pain that aggravated with infection, that is yet to subside. Similar was the plight of Malik Khan who underwent knife two years ago, Syed Suhail one year and Malaj Sharif eight months back. Among them, Mehboob Khan has already moved Consumer Court.

On Thursday morning, most of their relatives barged into the clinic only to take that doctor into task. However, the timely intervention of the police averted what could have ended on a serious note further.

Udayagiri police have taken that doctor into custody and are investigating.
