RMV Gurusaidutt also reached the third round with a 21-19, 21-15 victory over Vinay Kumar Reddy in another match. Sixth seed HS Prannoy and 16th seed Sai Praneeth also progressed with a straight-game win over their respective rivals.
In women’s action, Top seed Trupti Murgunde beat Jui Agaskar 21-14, 21-17 to reach the third round. Tenth seed Mohita Sahdev thumped Purnica Bhandari21-5, 21-4.
