The Bannerghatta rescue centre, which hosts the rescued lions and tigers from various parts of the country, has lost a lion in 20-year-old Amar.
The lion was rescued from a Komal Circus at Faridabad in Haryana way back in July 7, 2001. Brought as an eight-year-old adult to Bannerghatta’s rescue centre, the animal died after suffering from age-related problems for long time.
The visceral samples were collected and sent to Institute of Animal Health &Veterinary Biologicals, Bangalore for clinical examination.
