The staffs working in these centres are trained and explained them about their duties. Besides, the handbooks on the registration process are issued.

Gupta said ten persons who were cheating the public by issuing fake affidavits by collecting money from the gullible people, have been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. The accused are Siddaraju, Madhusudhan, Khaleel, Mahadev, Puttaswamy, Venkatamma, Mahadevaiah, Mahesh, Ali and S Subramanya, among them, Siddaraju has been arrested by the police and produced him before court on the charges of issuing fake affidavits. The police have recovered important documents from him.

The district administration would initiate legal action against those who act brokers and middlemen and cheat the people by collecting money. "Our aim is to cover all the citizens under this scheme. The UID numbers will be dispatched to all the applicants in a phased manner. The people, instead of approaching the brokers and middlemen, can approach the Aadhar centres or the staff of Comat or the staff appointed by the government for any queries pertaining to the scheme. The people's cooperation is must to make this scheme success in the district", he added.
