Riding on Nagesh’s unbeaten 136, Caravan amassed a mammoth 365 for eight in 50 overs with Suresh (86) making a significant contribution.

What appeared an eminently defendable total, looked increasingly inadequate as Young Challengers made a spirited chase. With Sharath (104) leading the charge, YCC came dangerously close to clinching the issue in their favour but faltered at the final hurdle finishing on 356 all out in 49.2 overs.
