Speaking after distributing the cheque for development of the Patalamma temple in Kooteri, Gowda said the problem of shortage of drinking water is increasing in rural areas. “Local legislators and officers have failed to solve the problem and provide relief to the people,” he accused.
Mocking legislators who claim that there is no shortage of funds with the government to supply drinking water, Gowda challenged the legislators to visit the rural areas. “Let them quit trying to solve problems by making empty and false claims,” he said.
PLD Bank director M Srirama Reddy, Kasaba SFCS president Srinivas, Kempanna, Chalapati, Agricultural Society chairman Gopal were present.
