He was charred to death at the farm owned by his son-in-law. According to sources, Mahadevappa ventured into the farm in the afternoon. However, at around the same time a fire is said to have broken out in the farm. Fire force and emergency services personnel doused the fire.
Later, it came to light that Mahadevappa was also burnt to death. Police sources said it was still unclear as to why Mahadevappa went into the farm. Tahsildar Nandini, Dy SP Basavaraju visited the spot.
Ramasamudra Police have registered a case.
