Kicking up their heels, toddlers amused the audience with their fun-packed lisps while performing plays based on the birth of Jesus and a lost little birdie searching for her mother.

During the play on the birth of Jesus, children after coming on the stage went out of control initially but later their trainer got the task accomplished in the best possible way, much to the delight of the audience.

The little devils dressed like angels amused the audience who in return gave thunderous applause to their performance.

The event was inaugurated by Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala.  An annual magazine 'The Child And You' was also released by Dr Uma Hirisave, a professor at Nimhans.

Making responsible kids

Prior to the dance and drama by the kids, lectures were held on grooming children as responsible citizens of the future and the impact of pressure for studies built on the children.

There are many schools in Bangalore which practice the Montessori method of educating children based on the research and experiences of Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori.
