Army recruitment rally from April 14 to 21
Do you have zeal to serve for the nation? If yes, here is an opportunity. An army recruitment rally for men, is being conducted for eight days from April 14 at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in the city.
This was informed to the media here on Friday by Colonel J R Virk, director recruitment, Zonal Recruitment Office (ZRO), Bangalore.
Candidates in the age group of 17-and-a-half to 23 years and the permanent residents of Mysore, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Bangalore urban and rural, Kolar, Tumkur, Ramanagar, Chikkaballapura, Gadag, Haveri and Bagalkot districts. Recruitment is being conducted for the posts of soldier general duty, soldier technical, soldier clerk/ store keeper technical, soldier nursing assistant, soldier general duty (animal and store handler), soldier general duty (farrier) and soldier tradesman for the Indian Army and for re-enrolment of ex-servicemen into defence security corps (DSC) as soldier general duty.
On the opening day, the rally will be conducted for the candidates from Belgaum,Gulbarga, Bidar, Raichur, Koppal and Bellary districts.
April 15: For the candidates of Mysore, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Bangalore, Kolar, Tumkur, Ramanagar, Chikkaballapur, Gadag, Haveri, Bagalkot, Uttara Kannada, Shimoga, Udupi, Chikkmagalur, Dakshin Kannada, Kodagu, Davanagere, Chitradurga, Bijapur and Dharwad.
April 16: Chamarajanagar, Tumkur, Kolar and Bangalore.
April 17: Mysore, Mandya, Ramanagar and Chikkaballpur.
April 18: Gadag, Haveri and Bagalkot.
April 19: Belgaum, Gulbarga, Bidar, Raichur, Koppal and Bellary.
April 20: Uttar Kannada, Hassan, Shimoga, Udupi, Chikmagalur, Dakshin Kannada, Kodagu, Davangere, Chitradurga, Bijapur and Dharwad.
April 21: For ex-servicemen aged 48 on date of screening- Mysore, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Bangalore, Tumkur, Kolar, Ramanagar, Chikkaballapur, Gadag, Haveri
and Bagalkot districts.
The candidates should bring original and attested photo copy of SSLC and PUC or ITI certificate, 12 copies of latest passport size colour photographs, nativity or permanent residence certificate from tahsildar, deputy commissioner and others.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Zaheera Naseem said to facilitate the locals who cannot bring the documents in English or Hindi as prescribed by the army authorities, the officers would be deployed at the recruitment venue.
The drive will begin with physical test early in the morning at 5 daily. Those selected will be given the card for common entrance test in Bangalore on May 29.
