28% pass out in PU supplementary

In the examinations, held from June 27 to July 6, 2.5 lakh students had appeared. The answerscripts were evaluated by 4,208 evaluators at 11 centres of the State from July 12 to July 19.

The results, which were declared on Tuesday, showed that out of 2.5 lakh students who appeared for the examinations, only 70,000 could clear it.

As usual, girls outsmart boys in the examination with a pass percentage of 33.11 as against 24.73 for the boys.

With a pass percentage of 33, students in the rural areas excelled students in the urban regions with a margin of six per cent.

The arts students (32.5 per cent) fared better than commerce (29.4 per cent) and science students (17 per cent).

Students from Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Chikmagalur, Kodagu and Shimoga districts performed better than other districts of the State.

Students can apply for revaluation at BangaloreOne centres in Bangalore and KarnatakaOne centres in other districts.
