Aggressive oppn stalls Parl demanding Sheila's resignation

The Opposition parties also gave notice for Privilege Motion against Sports Minister Ajay Maken, alleging that he had misled Parliament by his statement on the Suresh Kalmadi's appointment as CWG Organising Committee Chairman and wanted immediate discussion on the issue.

It was trouble from the word go in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha when they met for the day, with the NDA seeking suspension of Question Hour and the Left parties giving notices for Adjournment Motion in the Lok Sabha on the CAG observations on the CWG issue.

Chanting 'Resign, Sheila Dikshit Resign', Opposition NDA members stormed the Well leading to the adjournment of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha till noon. When the two Houses met again, it was a similar story and the presiding officers adjourned the proceedings for the day.

In the Lok Sabha, Samajwadi Party members demanded dismissal of the Mayawati government in the wake of reports that Uttar Pradesh has the highest incidence of fake encounters. They trooped into the Well, shouting slogans and waving copies of news reports.

With Speaker Meira Kumar taking up the Question Hour, NDA members began shouting slogans against the Delhi Government and demanded Dikshit's resignation contending that the CAG had indicted her in the CWG issue.Kumar continued with the Question Hour as members of the BJP, Shiv Sena and SP raised slogans in the well. BSP members were seen shouting slogans and countering the SP members.

The Speaker told BJP member Varun Gandhi to ask a supplementary.As Gandhi stood up to ask his question, BJP member Bijoya Chakraborty signalled him against doing so.

As the ruckus continued, the Speaker adjourned the proceedings till noon.Similar situation prevailed, when the House re-assembled.

Amid melee, Deputy Speaker Kariya Munda, who was in the Chair, asked ministers to lay the papers listed for the day and allowed introduction of two bills.

As the din continued, he adjourned the House till tomorrow.In the Rajya Sabha too, BJP members trooped into the well soon after it met for the day.

When Chairman Hamid Ansari took up the Question Hour, BJP members shouted slogans seeking Dikshit's removal.

As the BJP members trooped into the well, ruling party members made a strong demand that the Question Hour be taken up but their voice got drowned in the opposition uproar.
Left members too were on their feet displaying copies of some news report.Amid din, Ansari adjourned the House till noon.

When the House met again, BJP members trooped into the well shouting slogans demanding Dikhsit's resignation. They were supported by members of Shiv Sena, JD(U), AIADMK and the Left parties, who were on their feet.

As the slogan shouting continued, Deputy Chairman K Rahman Khan allowed papers to be laid and adjourned the House for the day.
