“From the prelim rounds across six cities where 40 artistes participated, we have identified the top 12 artistes for the finale of the WORME Fest in Delhi,” says Michael Khanna, event organiser.

Formed in August last year—the six member band-- Rishi Inc is all set to deliver their electrifying performances for the grand finale of the fest.

Rishi Dutta, founder and keyboardist says, “I was in college when I started compositing music and after a year people started approaching me and that is  how the band was formed”. He also adds, “Our band is different from others because we are the only ones to play Hindi fusion music.”

The band that draws its inspiration from Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and AR Rehman, specialises in Indian folk and classical music, collaborating it with western music.

Bands from Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Kolkata will also be  fighting for the title in the fest.

“We are excited to have this kind of talent on a national platform. The audience in Delhi will get a flavour of the kind of music being played across India. Our endeavour is to keep providing opportunities to the upcoming talents,” says Michael.

Delhi can taste the flavour of these bands that will be performing live at Turquoise Cottage, Vasant Vihar on   December 17 and 18 from 6.30 pm onwards.
