Gurang too good for Ramu in title clash
Nir Bahadur Gurang of Mahsrashtra defeated Pydi Ramu of Karnataka 11-8, 11-2 to win the Class TT 2 and 3 (wheelchair) title in the men’s section of the second Paralympic National table tennis championship at the Sree Kanteerava stadium on Tuesday.
Truptiben Purushotham of Gujarat defeated her sSate-mate Noorjahan Nurali 6-11, 12-10, 11-9 to win the Class TT (standing) title while another player fromGujarat, Sonal Munubhai Patel, trounced P Prama of Tamil Nadu 11-1, 11-5 to win the Class TT2 (wheelchair) category on the opening day of the two-day competition.
