Delhi Gypsies and billionaires to have Formula 1 drivers

With the i1 series, all set to hit India in the first quarter of 2012, the organisers Machdar recently got all the drivers together in the Yas Marina Track in Abu Dhabi for the official launch of the i1 super car series.

The drivers line for the series promises to thrill Indian racing enthusiasts.

They included ex-formula one champion Jacques Villeneuve, formula one race winners, Giancarlo Fisichella, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Jean Alesi, formula one racers Vitantonio Liuzzi, Karun Chandhok, Mika Salo, Alex Yoong, Neel Jani, Sakon Yamamoto and Indycar women drivers Pippa Mann and Cyndie adding to the glamour.

To add to the thrill, there were proper hot laps too with the racers pumping up adrenaline.

Enjoying the thrill of the fast paced event, was Delhi Gypsies and Billionaires owner Arindam Chaudhuri. He said, “It is absolutely fabulous to know that our team will have one of these drivers who have been formula one stars.”

Chaudhuri added, “We will be announcing various promotional competitions soon, wherein winners will be able to take this thrilling ride with a formula one racer.”

So basically Delhites can now get ready not just to enjoy the i1 series which is coming soon, but also get inside the cars of formula one racers and go for a few laps.

For Motor sports enthusiasts, it sure doesn’t get bigger than this.
