His first release of this year was Abbas-Mustan's 'Players'. Despite a stellar star cast and extensive promotions, the film failed to create much impact.

His upcoming release this year is 'Bol Bachchan', a comedy directed by Rohit Shetty, featuring Ajay Devgn, Asin, Abhishek and Prachi Desai. The film is expected to release in July and is said to be inspired by the 1979 comic flick, 'Golmaal'.
