Having launched in the country recently, Vans, a Southern Californian brand, caters to the needs of creative and individualistic youngsters. Apart from its wide range of shoes, the brand also has a variety of apparels and accessories for boys and girls alike. Though the brand has been there for the last 40 years, it has time and again incorporated elements of current fashion keeping the sensibilities of youngsters in mind.

Creative and comfortable

The latest collection of ‘Vans’ is all about playing with colours. When it comes to shoes, one can find not only the classic colours like black, brown, grey, white and tan but also bright peppy colours like green, pink and purple.

Panchali, the business head of Vans, says that the brand is best suited for those in sports. “When the brand was launched, it was made for youngsters who are into skating and skateboarding. But over the years, it has started keeping the creative and individualistic youngsters in mind while designing. That’s why you can find a good variety of shoes in almost every colour,” she says.

When it comes to apparels, there is an assortment of printed tees, hooded T-shirts and jackets. There are long shorts and jeans for boys and three-fourth pants, jeggings, dresses and jeans for girls. Comfort is the key to each one of the looks. That’s why the fabrics used in both the clothes and shoes are breathable and easy to maintain.

“What to wear and what not to wear has become such a personal choice for today’s generation. That’s why we have brought out a collection that allows them to mix and match with ease and showcase their own creative side,” adds Panchali. So guys can actually team up their tees and jeans with a checked shirt while girls can experiment with checked pants or long jackets by teaming them up with jeans.

Panchali says that while matching one’s look to the footwear, one must be careful as it can make or break a look.
